After decades of vigorous development, China's display industry has transformed from a former follower into a global leader in the sector. According to data from the Liquid Crystal Branch of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufacturers Association, the global scale of the new display industry grew by 17% in 2024, reaching USD 219.8 billion. Among this, China's new display industry accounted for half of the global scale, hitting USD 108 billion. Driven by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, new energy vehicles, and the metaverse, the display industry is embracing unprecedented development opportunities. Diversified technological routes including LCD, OLED, Mini/Micro LED, silicon-based OLED, and quantum dot display are developing in parallel, injecting a steady stream of innovative momentum into the industry.
